Apply Now Technical Assistance Professional Development REACH Newsletter Forms Welcome to Delaware Stars for Early Success Delaware Stars for Early Success is Delaware’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) administered by the Delaware Department of Education. A QRIS is a method to assess, improve, and communicate the level of quality in early care and education and school-age settings. The goal of Delaware Stars is to invest in participating programs to increase access to high quality care for all of Delaware’s children, especially those from low-income families. Programs participating in Delaware Stars have access to support and strategies to improve the quality of their child care. Families choosing a Stars program have the assurance that their child care provider is pursuing quality for the best outcome for their child. Perhaps joining Stars could give my program, which was already successful, a breath of fresh air. So I went for it and wow how glad I am I did. I’ve worked so hard, accepted that change is good, seen improvements with my students and have gotten great feedback. I am ready for more in the Stars journey, not just for me but the families I serve. Located in the Southbridge community in Wilmington, the academy serves infants to preschool ages, including a school-age program. Upon meeting Pastor Curry, the director of Ezion Fair Christian Community Academy, it becomes quickly apparent he is an educator driven to do better for young children. Children are naturally curious and love to learn new things, especially about their peers.
